UPDATE: CNN requested us to bring the budget iPhone to their show.

Recently, the rear shell of Apple’s rumored budget iPhone was leaked in the colors white, red, green, blue and yellow. Some people think the shells could be Chinese copies, while some believe the low-cost iPhone would probably look like the leaked rear shells. Today, we got Apple’s budget iPhone in hands, and we can’t wait to present a photo gallery and a phenomenal video for you to watch.

Our Verdict: It does not feel cheap at all.

As can be seen from the images above, all the rumors about the low-cost plastic iPhone seem to be true. The budget iPhone will be made substantially from plastic (we can feel it’s actually polycarbonate material). It will have a 4” screen, like the iPhone 5, and interestingly, the budget iPhone actually has a shape that’s similar to Apple’s original iPod. When we hold the budget iPhone in our hands, the plastic chassis does not feel cheap at all. Unlike the plastic build quality of the Samsung Galaxy phones, the plastic material used on the budget iPhone feels more sturdy.

And guess what, we were able to fit the display assembly into the new budget iPhone’s rear shell. The display assembly just seemed to fit perfectly inside of the rear shell.

Speaking of the main features of the leaked rear shell, we would like to highlight the bottom part._1040216Down to the bottom, there’s one small hole for a second microphone, next to the headphone port, two screw holes alongside the centered Lightning port, and four holes for the speaker off to the bottom right.

Side-by-side comparison with iPhone 5

From the front, the budget iPhone looks almost identical to the iPhone 5. But if you look closer, the front glass of the budget iPhone sticks out a little. And the main differences are most obvious on the rear.

Closer Look At The Rear Shell

Inside the rear shell, there are pre-aligned screw holes, and we can also see the holes for camera, LED flash and microphone.

Closer Look At The Display Assembly

By taking a closer look at the display assembly of Apple’s budget iPhone, we discovered thinner bezels down each side of the display.
